10th Anniversary Celebration ~ An Evening of Sweetness and Laughter
Saturday, February 7, 2009, 6:30p.m. Broken Sound Country Club - Boca Raton, FL The Mathew Forbes Romer Foundation emerged ten years ago inspired by the strength of a little boy with a fatal genetic disease of the brain. Our theme of Sweetness & Laughter symbolizes both how sweet these children are and how laughter is an important way of coping with the devastating impact of these diseases. This year especially, everyone needs an escape of laughter and pleasure from the barrage of challenging news. What better way to celebrate our 10th Anniversary than with our extraordinary comedy talent -- Jeff Caldwell -- who regularly appears on The Late Show with David Letterman and on college campuses with Jon Stewart of The Daily Show. WPEC-TV/CBS Anchor Ric Blackwell will host the evening as we also proudly continue our tradition of recognizing the wonderful work of leaders in the fight against children's genetic diseases of the brain with our "See the Light" Awards Ceremony. This year we honor Judy Levis Markhoff and recognize past "See the Light" honorees.
